Starr’s Studio of Dance

Starr’s Studio of Dance was established in December of 2012. We are reopening from the pandemic this fall on September 12th, 2022!!!

The studio had it starts on the South Kent School campus until our current location at 10 Landmark Lane on the Kent Green opened. Here at SSD we pride ourselves on not only becoming your dance studio but your dance family!

Starr’s Studio of Dance staff uses teaching methods that focus on creativity, passion and learning. All of SSD’s current students and alumni are taught to have a strong foundation not only in dance but life as well. All of our students that have graduated our program fully, have gone on to do great things in and out of the dance industry! The studio offers a strong curriculum in dance and creative movement and that helps the dancers build skills that will last a lifetime. SSD offers many different dance styles for various age groups including: Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Rhythmic Acro, Lyrical Acro, Tumbling, Combo Classes specialty classes such as “Jump, Leaps & Turns” and “Technique, Strength & Conditioning”.

Seed & Spoon at Husky Meadow Farms

Seed & Spoon occupies a unique space – situated in the less-travelled and pristine Northwest corner
– it is at once an organic working farm and a place where a lucky few can come for weekend and
mid-week stays in charming accommodations. Beginning May and continuing through the end of
October, Tracy and her team welcome up to ten guests (five parties of two) for farm stays. Seed &
Spoon is all about the people who want to really share their deep knowledge of food and farming, a
place where the food they grow is transformed by chef and guests alike into meals that are delicious
and fill the soul, and where friendships are made and sustained, because there just isn’t anything
else quite like it. Guests participate in activities based on a specific theme such as discovering wild
edibles, creating a kitchen garden, homesteading, or other activities that naturally take place on a
farm at any given time.

A high-end, fine furniture (wood furniture) business in Millbrook. All of the wood used in our products is either from our farm or is locally saved/rescued. Each log is milled and dried on our property by the two of us. We design and create everything in house. It is our goal to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible by only using local trees and giving them a new life as furniture.
