Vincent Inconiglios: Face Time

David M. Hunt Library is proud to present FACE TIME, an exhibition of collage, found objects and photographic prints by Vincent Inconiglios, a New York City-based artist and resident of Falls Village. Curated from works spanning over fifty years, the show features collage, faces, masks and “friends” alongside photographic prints of “artifacts,” street-found objects uncannily resembling masks or faces, human and animal—an evocative exploration of how art lives in the overlooked and every day. FACE TIME invites viewers to reconsider the spirit found in the mundane, celebrating accidental beauty and the human impulse to find emotional meaning in pattern and artistic form.

A public reception for the artist will take place on Saturday, October 25 from 5PM to 7PM. Guests are encouraged to wear masks if they want to. Refreshments will be served. On Thursday, November 13 at 5:30PM, the artist will present an art talk and slideshow offering deeper insight into his creative process and the thematic elements in his work. The show will run from Saturday October 25 through Friday November 21. These events are free and open to the public.

Vincent Inconiglios is known for his work in abstraction and conceptualism having a career spanning decades with exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe. He studied with Richard Anuszkiewicz and was an artist-in-residence at the Dayton Art Institute before moving to Gansevoort Street in NYC’s Meatpacking District in 1969. His first solo exhibition in New York was in 1972. His work is in the collections of JPMorgan Chase, AT&T and the Norton Simon Collection as well as numerous private collections. He has exhibited in Morrison Gallery in Kent, CT and showed over 40 works in Chelsea, NYC in 2024. His public art workshop, Painting Music, is an anticipated annual event at Music Mountain in Falls Village.
