Nevermore Masquerade

Nevermore Masquerade: 7PM – 10PM
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with an evening of romance, mystery, and a most extraordinary masquerade?

The Mattatuck Museum is delighted to present, in collaboration with Grymm Studios, The Nevermore Masquerade: A Gothic Romance Immersive Event. Guests are invited to don their most elegant masquerade attire and step into a world of intrigue, where Prince Prospero welcomes revelers alongside his enigmatic guest of honor – Edgar Allan Poe himself!

This immersive experience places attendees at the heart of a reimagined Poe classic, offering a modern and theatrical interpretation of “The Masque of the Red Death”. Lavish costumes, spirited dancing, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and indulgent libations set the stage, but they are only the beginning. As the evening unfolds, a dark and captivating mystery emerges, guided by an eccentric cast of characters who draw guests deeper into the story with moments of wit, suspense, and surprise. Guests may choose to actively engage with the characters and influence the unfolding events, or simply observe as the drama and intrigue reveal themselves throughout the night.

With the “Master of the Macabre” presiding over the festivities, expect the unexpected during this enchanting evening. The atmosphere comes alive as Prince Prospero’s personal DJ, Rave-N, fills the hall with an electrifying blend of electro-classical dance music, ensuring the celebration continues long into the evening.

Prepare to lose yourself in a Valentine’s affair unlike any other – where elegance meets darkness, and every masked guest becomes part of the tale.
