Entwyned – A Celtic Program

GIVE ME YOUR HAND: A CELTIC MUSICAL CELEBRATION
For centuries music played a central role in the cultures of Ireland and Scotland. And for centuries there were attempts to eradicate their music and instruments. Our program will highlight delightful selections from the Edward Bunting Collections, first published in 1796. Bunting traveled throughout Ireland to capture in written form traditional Irish music before it was forever lost. Entwyned will perform and describe the joyous, wistful, and rollicking music of the Celtic nations from Bunting and other historic sources, adapted to our instruments: Celtic harp, lutes, historic guitars, mandolin, Baroque flutes, and Viola da Gamba.

Note: this performance will run 3:30-4:45PM and includes a complimentary lecture on the history and culture of Ireland’s music.

Enneagram Overnight Retreat

March 13-15
with Nancy Benben

“The purpose of the Enneagram is not self-improvement, which would be our ego’s goal. Rather, it is the transformation of consciousness so that we can realize our essence, our True Self…The primary goal of any spiritual tool is union with God/Truth, and then we get united with ourselves in the process!” Fr. Richard Rohr

The Enneagram is an ancient and powerful tool of self-discovery and spiritual growth. This weekend workshop will introduce participants to the nine Enneagram types, guide them in identifying their own type and help them experience how self-understanding can lead to compassion and allow them to live from their truest self. We will also explore spiritual practices that help shift self-perception, and open participants more fully to Holy.
