Join us this weekend for a special event with Daniel Gugnoni of Troy Brook Visions and Richard Heys
We’re thrilled to host these two exemplary woodworkers, October 12th and 13th, 11:00-5:00
In 1993, Daniel Gugnoni founded Troy Brook Visions on the Shaker philosophy of hard work, honesty, and pride in craftsmanship. He is a Master Furniture Designer whose work now includes an assortment of super chic wood cooking and serving utensils, in an effort to sustainably utilize hardwood from his studio.
Richard Heys is a former pharmaceutical researcher turned woodworking magician who makes one-of-a-kind bowls, vases, vessels and sculptural objects from storm-felled or unwanted trees. Based in Litchfield, Richard may consider himself a woodworker, but I see him as a true artist whose medium is wood.

Prepare for the scare! Returning for its 10th anniversary CT’s Haunted trail at Scarrybrooke Park returns with more fearsome delights for your walk through the park after dark! Our event is not ONLY a staple of the season for Western CT, but THE LONGEST attraction to walk in the state! It takes hundreds of volunteers, working for months on end to bring you your scare. The event is a collaboration of 6 local non-profits who all benefit from your admission! NO outside entity reaps the rewards aside from the non-profits themselves! You’ll be helping The United Methodist Church, Boy Scout Troop 58, New Milford Lions Club, Boy Scout Troop 432, Community Fuel Bank of New Milford, and of course, Harrybrooke Park, the home of the event! It is critical that you read, understand and respect our rules, which can be found here. We will be stricter this year and police will be notified immediately if anyone causes damage to our props or is a concern of violence to our actors. Keep in mind ALL of our actors, ticketing people, concessions … ALL STAFF are volunteering their time for you to have fun! So please do … scare ya later!

Materiality and The Print bring together artists who have sculpture-based practices and use printmaking as a way of mark-making, organizing concepts, and recording. When one says the word print, what most often comes to mind is the mechanical graphic reproduction of an image or art-sphere multiples taken from an artist’s etched plate, carved block, or screen print. Curated by Janis Stemmermann, Materiality and The Print, strives to open the way we think about the print. In this exhibition, the print is closely connected to the process of the artist’s studio, reduced to a rudimentary form, creating unique works.
