Basquiat KidArt Workshop

Create art inspired by the great artist Jean-Michel Basquiat at our Becoming Basquiat Art Workshop! Our program will start with a short story about Jean-Michel Basquiat and his art, which often features unusual portraits. Participants will then have the chance to create their own Basquiat-inspired art. All supplies will be supplied by the library. Registration for this program is encouraged.

Jean-Michel Basquiat was an African-American U.S. painter. He first became known for his graffiti (writing or drawing made on a public surface), but later he was known for his paintings. His paintings often feature unusual portraits with scrawled text and symbols.

Auricular Acupuncture

Join Stefanie DiLibero, of Gotham Wellness, for a group auricular (ear) acupuncture session using the NADA Protocol, a standardized approach that targets 5 points in each ear to promote relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.

These sessions are designed to benefit a variety of conditions, including stress, anxiety, insomnia, addiction recovery, and chronic pain. As the treatment is the same for everyone, no personal health information will be discussed, allowing you to experience the collective healing power of the group in a calm and supportive environment.

You will be laying down on mats and props, and remain fully clothed, but please wear something comfortable. Once Stefanie has placed the needles, you will rest for about 45 min.

These acupuncture treatments are given by one licensed acupuncturist so we will stagger arrival time (you will be given a specific check in time with registration), If needles scare you, Stefanie will be using ear acupressure stickers.

Saturday, February 8th from 4-6pm; $55
