Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Jump into summer at the David M. Hunt Library’s Summer Reading Kickoff Party on June 17th at 3:00pm! Join us for ice cream, dancing, and more as we celebrate the beginning of summer and the library’s summer programming. Families are invited to bring a blanket or chairs and hang out on the library lawn. Sign-ups for our summer reading program will be available from June through August. This event is free and open to the public.

Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Tapestry Weaving Workshop

Come discover the art of tapestry weaving with fiber artist Gail Cunningham O’Donnell on Wednesday, June 18th from 2-5 pm. In this class you will learn the basics of tapestry, including what the different tools are and how they are used, how to warp on, various weaving techniques, and how to finish a piece. No experience is necessary. All materials are provided, and students will leave with a small loom and their own set of weaving tools. This class is for adults and mature teens of all skill levels, and is limited to 12 participants. Please register on our event page or contact the library.
Gail Cunningham O’Donnell received her BFA in Fibers from Oregon College of Art and Craft and is currently pursuing her masters degree at SUNY New Paltz. Gail will have an exhibition on the library’s ArtWall in September 2025.

Join in on the joys of garden life in our community garden during once a week open garden times on Wednesdays starting at 3:30pm. We will be planting, weeding, and harvesting all summer long, with produce free to the community.
This club is free and open to the public.

Farm Yoga at Waldingfield Farm

Join us for a nourishing outdoor yoga practice every Sunday morning at the Red Barn at Waldingfield Farm. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, we gather rain or shine—either out in the field or under the shelter of the barn—for a unique and grounding class surrounded by the beauty of nature.

This steady-paced class weaves together a blend of styles including Kundalini, Katonah, and Chromatic Yoga. Each session includes pranayama (breathwork), creative flows that often build toward a peak pose or theme, and meditation. The practice is designed for all levels, with thoughtful modifications for beginners and deeper options for experienced students looking to expand their practice.

Please bring your own towel, water, and sunscreen—and get ready to move, breathe, and connect in community.
