Hopeville is a documentary about America’s reading crisis created by Harvey Hubbell, award-winning filmmaker and Litchfield resident. Through powerful storytelling and expert analysis, Hopeville takes viewers on a journey to understand the root causes of the reading crisis and the far-reaching implication.
Panel Discussion to follow the screening:
After the film, Harvey Hubbell, Region 20 Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Villar, OWL’s Early Literacy Specialist Caroline Wilcox and other panel members will review and engage participants in further discussion.
Pumpernickel Puppets will be performing “Peter Rabbit” in the children’s room while the adults are watching and participating in the Hopeville screening and discussion.
