The role of fire departments has changed over the last 100 years. Today, the WVFD are first responders to all types of emergencies. Protecting us and our property from fire, extricating us from vehicles, and providing rescue services on land, water and frozen lakes. For 100 years, members past and present have voluntarily answered the call.
