CT DEEP Program: Nature’s Energy
Presented in partnership with the Education and Outreach Division of Connecticut State Parks, this special series brings naturalist-led environmental and science programs directly to the community. Designed for children entering kindergarten through 5th grade, each session offers a fun and educational way to connect with the natural world.
Each program runs approximately one hour and is led by experienced naturalists who make science hands-on, interactive, and exciting for young learners.
This week’s theme is nature’s energy!
Learn how energy flows throughout the ecosystem from the top to the bottom. We will look at the Sun’s role in the world around us and how its power transfers through the trophic pyramid. Participants will have the opportunity to use astronomy equipment and examine the Sun up close using a sun scope. This program examines both biotic and abiotic factors of our environment.
Space is limited. Registration required.
