Tremaine Gallery

Situated at The Hotchkiss School, The Tremaine Gallery is a museum-quality exhibition space located in the main building. With education at the heart of its mission, the gallery hosts six shows a year, encompassing a wide range of artists, media, and styles. Along with the exhibitions, there are gallery talks with artists.

Bank Street Theater

With four screens, this trusted moviehouse usually shows current Hollywood movies. Every year they host the Manhattan Short Film Festival screenings, which are definitely worth seeing.

Sharon Playhouse

The Sharon Playhouse is a regional, non-profit theater producing high-quality performances with Broadway actors as well as talented local community members. Its mission is to entertain the community of Northwest Connecticut and beyond, while also serving as a teaching theater to encourage aspiring actors and other theater professionals of all ages to develop their craft.

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area

Whether you ski downhill, snowboard, or just watch, Mohawk is a great place to be on a beautiful winter’s day. The full-service alpine ski center offers rentals, and lessons, and has a ski shop. There are cross-country trails for snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing at the top of the mountain, but they are not maintained or connected to the ski area. Don’t forget there’s dining in the lodge.

Tubing, the latest addition to the lineup of winter fun activities, is now offered Thursday through Sunday.

Mohawk State Park

Mohawk State park is known for its fabulous views and fall foliage, and 30 miles of hiking trails complete with bogs and ponds at this wildlife sanctuary. Bring a picnic. Access to the state park is off of Route 4 in Cornwall.
