The Landscape as Canvas: Earth Art

The 1960s and 70s witnessed a radical shift as artists like Robert Smithson, Nancy Holt, and Ana Mendieta moved beyond gallery walls to create powerful works directly in nature, using the earth as both canvas and material. Delve into the social and artistic currents that sparked this environmental art revolution and examine the distinctive approaches of influential artists, from the movement’s pioneers to contemporary innovators like Andy Goldsworthy.
