This free event offers youth and adults the opportunity to safely participate in trades, crafts, and self-sufficiency skills through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Admission is free
The region’s leading trades and artisanal crafts professionals share their expertise and enthusiasm with hundreds of young people during at this day-long event.
Throughout the day, dozens of trades experts use safe and tested approaches to teach participants how to create, make, and problem solve with their hands. From learning the proper and safe way to use a hammer to patching drywall and wiring a lamp – and much more – young people who attend SPARK Kent will have the opportunity to experience the joy and satisfaction of hands-on work.
SPARK Kent is open to all ages, but targeted towards aged 5-13!
