The mission of the Harwinton Land Trust is to acquire and conserve important parcels of natural open space for the benefit of Harwinton and its residents. The Harwinton Land Trust owns over 170 acres of open space, and another 90 acres held in conservation easement. The public is most welcome to visit the properties that they directly own, and to enjoy the trails and wildlife observation areas.
Help preserve Harwinton’s aesthetic rural qualities and protect its important natural areas by becoming a volunteer of the Land Trust.

Visit our Christmas tree farm to choose and cut your own Christmas tree, or pick from our fresh-cut Canadian Balsams. We always have plenty of hand-made holiday wreaths and centerpieces for sale, made with locally harvested material. Our new Christmas store features products from local artisans, including soaps, body lotion, local foods, ceramics, and more.

Deeply Rooted Farms LLC, is a family run pick-your-own strawberry farm in Harwinton. We operate a second generation choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm and we also raise pumpkins, specialty gourds, and winter squash. Deeply Rooted Farms has the distinction of being one of the first and only farms in Connecticut to offer extended strawberry harvest from as early as the end of May until hard frost in the fall.

Goldenbrook Farm offers puppy behavior, socialization, basic through advanced training. We also offer fun agility for puppies and adults. Both group and private classes are available.
