Good News Café Restaurant and Bar Abbey Road Home Care and Carole Pecks Good News Restaurant are sponsoring “Swing into Spring” event benefiting Alzheimer’s, at The Good News Restaurant and Bar on Sunday April 30th 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Swing in to be entertained with music, art, libation offering, tantalizing hors’deuerves, fab dessert surprise and a splendid silent auction.

Since my husband and I started Abbey Road homecare 23 years ago, we have had the privilege of caring for many families whose members have dementia and we have shared their pain in the loss of their loved ones. Just recently my favorite cousin Elliot was diagnosed. He loved to write poetry for his wife’s birthday and for his teenage daughter. This year he couldn’t remember when her birthday was. This broke my heart and so I am more determined than ever to make Alzheimer’s a thing of the past! Proceeds from this event will go to the Alzheimer’s Assoc to help with research, support, and their 24 hot line for family members who need information and resources.

Carole Pecks Good News Restaurant and Bar has won many prestigious awards and entertained many prominent people over the years. When I first moved to Woodbury one and a half years ago, I would go to Carole’s for lunch and bring a book to keep occupied. Before I knew it I had many friends, and felt like I had been coming there forever. The food is incredible, the staff is lovely, and Carole is kind and welcoming. She has raised over 42,000.00 for the Ukraine, where she is from.
Carole’s place is a natural choice for a sparkling party where people can sample the incredible food, delight in the decorations and art, and enjoy live music, all for a good cause. We will have a silent auction, featuring an amazing yoga teacher who will give you a lesson in the privacy of your home, a master chef that will cook for you and your friends, a mini trampoline, live music, art and antiques, goodie bags, and too many surprises to list here.
