Wednesday, September 1: Dale Osterman, Cellist / Vanessa Hammond, Flautist

Dale Osterman is a composer and cellist from Connecticut whose work explores unique sound-worlds and the meaning-creating potential of music. As a performer, Dale is the first-chair cellist for the Torrington Symphony Orchestra, and a founding member of the electro-acoustic new music group Dissidents. As a composer, Dale’s work has been premiered at various venues throughout the US. Dale holds a BA in Audio and Music Production from WCSU and an MM in Music Composition from the Hartt School. Vanessa Hammond is a flautist with a BA in Music from Lebanon Valley College. She has been playing with the Torrington Symphony Orchestra since 2015 and currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors. Vanessa lives with her family in Litchfield County
