On Friday April 5th at 3:30 Grumbling Gryphons Traveling Children’s Theater will perform the premiere of their new musical & theatrical production: Hold Fast to Dreams: From Page to Stage- A delightful dramatization of poems in honor of Earth Day and Poetry Month!

Selected poems by Langston Hughes, Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear, E.E. Cummings, Robert Frost and more, are sure to delight audiences of all ages, from youngsters through seniors! This production was conceived & directed by Leslie Elias . In 2023, Ms Elias received the 2023 Connecticut Artist Fellowship Award to create new work. These performances feature a new direction in her work, combining music, poetry and environmental themes.
Masks & Costumes are created by Ellen Moon who will perform in the finale as The Golden Lady, a larger- than-life earth goddess puppet who will dance and interact with the audience! Performers include actors Daniel Saed, Natalie Resto and Leslie Elias with student Stephany Quezada portraying various dramatic roles. This production features Joseph Sobol, a renowned musician and storyteller who will perform with the ensemble his own original musical settings of some of the world’s best-loved poems! This show is free to the public!
