Litchfield Farm-Fresh Market
Saturdays thru June 8, 2024

Litchfield Farm-Fresh Market

The Farm-Fresh Market was created in 2007 with 15 local vendors, and has grown over the years to become a staple of the Litchfield Hills community throughout all seasons. We were so proud to be recognized as one of the 50 best farmers’ markets in the country by Cooking Light on-line magazine.

The Farm-Fresh Market is a program of Sustainable Healthy Communities, a public charity focused on promoting healthy eating and active lifestyles in the Northwest Hills.

The Farm-Fresh Market is a community-based program focused on sustainable, local food systems that are respectful of the environment in which we exist. We contribute to broad community awareness that “local food is healthier food,” which improves the economic viability of local and regional farms.

We recognize that even though residents in Northwest CT want to support local farms and buy farm-fresh food, they have trouble finding it. Farmers’ markets are one of the best direct-marketing venues for farmers. Additionally, they are an integral part of building a local food system and a local economy capable of promoting sustainability and social engagement within the community.

Our principal goals are to connect environmentally responsible farmers with the people in their region, to achieve nutritional well-being in our communities, and promote sustainable interaction with farm-fresh local foods.

The Indoor market will be held on the following dates:
March 9, March 23, April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18, May 25, June 1, June 8
Litchfield Community Center
421 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT
