History Hike

Join us for a morning hike at Black Rock State Park to hike the Black Rock Loop (1.6 miles) , where we’ll explore scenic trails while discovering the rich history of this unique landscape. Once home to the Mohegan, Paugussett, and Tunxis peoples, the area is filled with stories, legends, and artifacts that connect us to its past, as well as the history behind its famous “Black Rock” graphite deposits. Come enjoy fresh air, beautiful views, and a chance to experience nature through the lens of history.
Transportation provided, please arrive at the museum at 9:30 am.
