“GROUNDED” by George Brant

Gunn Memorial Library presents “GROUNDED” by George Brant. The play is performed by Roxbury resident and actor Kimiye Corwin, with music by NYC/Bridgewater-based musician and composer Jane Chung, and directed by Tracy Liz Miller. The event includes a 90-minute performance followed by a 30-minute post-show discussion.

An unexpected pregnancy abruptly ends an ace fighter pilot’s career in the sky. Reassigned to operate military drones from a windowless trailer outside Las Vegas, she hunts terrorists by day and returns to her family each night. As the pressure to track a high-profile target mounts, the boundaries between the desert she lives in and the one she patrols half a world away begin to blur. Although the threat of death has been removed from her family’s life, the costs of operating under such high stress take their toll.

Contains strong language and intense adult themes.
