OWL’s Fully Booked Summer Reading Challenge is back for a second year! Once you’ve registered, come to the library to pick up your challenge bookmark. Starting Monday, June 17th, the first 20 people who register AND come to the library to pick up their bookmark will receive a $5 gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts. Generously gifted to us by Litchfield Dunkin.
Your bookmark will include a list of 13 different challenges for you to try throughout the summer. However, you are not required to complete all of the challenges. Participate at your own pace in whatever way works best for you and your reading habits!
One lucky winner will be randomly selected to receive a Book Lover’s Gift basket that will include a $25 gift card to Hickory Stick bookshop and other reader goodies. For each completed challenge, participants earn one entry towards the prize. Be sure to come to the library at some point before the end of the program to enter your prize slips for the drawing.
Participants who complete at least 6 challenges will gain entry to an exclusive event on Tuesday, August 27th at 6:00 PM. At this event, nature-based artist and educator Denise Smith will help attendees create their own mandala stenciled canvas bag—perfect for carrying your library books! And, all of us will have an opportunity to share what books we loved reading this summer!
