Dig Into Sewing: Quilted Tote Bags

Discover the basics of machine sewing and the “quilt as you go” technique in this beginner-friendly three part workshop! We’ll cover working with fusible fleece, sewing straight seams with an accurate seam allowance, trimming your work, creating French seams and boxed corners, and applying binding. All levels are welcome!

All supplies, including fabric and sewing machines, will be provided. If you’d like to bring your own fabric, please reach out to the Makerspace Specialist at create@gunnlibrary.org for more information.

Please note that this is a three- part workshop. Participants must attend all three sessions.

Ages 18+
