Ceramic Art Exhibition

On view through July 21st, open Thurs-Mon 11-4pm

Held at the Hughes Memorial Library, in West Cornwall, ‘To Have & To Hold’ is a dynamic installation of contemporary ceramics in a unique historical setting.

The curated group of artists includes Jeremy Anderson, Aimee Ehrman, Mariette Groen, Anna Lea Hucht, Elisabeth Kley, Yoonjee Kwak, Chelsey Pettyjohn, Jane Yang-D’Haene, Studio MC and Carol Leskanic.
The show unites these distinctive artists who make clay-work their master-craft. Spanning the US and Europe, these artists bring a rich diversity of styles and techniques to the exhibition.

Like the fiction and non-fiction titles on the library’s shelves, the textures and narratives of each object playfully intertwine, highlighting the artists’ unique points of view.

Indebted to the rich artistic legacy of the region and the budding cultural scene in Litchfield County, this exhibition aims to enrich the vibrant conversation surrounding ceramic craftsmanship and artistic expression.
