3003 Days of Mike & Me / and the wars between us

Martha Donegan is a prizewinning author; this, her first book, was shortlisted for Best Nonfiction at the Faulkner/Pirate’s Alley  competition, 2019.

She is an artist who makes sense of life through words as well as design, spending many years in the publishing and fashion industries doing exactly that.

Martha created the imprint, 1495 Books, LLC, to independently publish her book, 3003 Days of Mike & Me / And the Wars Between Us. It’s been a labor or love–the book took eight years to write, and nearly a year and a half to see publication. It has been through all the tasks of publication a publishing company could perform, so we guess it should pass muster. 

Hope so. Mike’s story deserves to be told. He was a brilliant writer in his own right, and while he succumbs to the all too frequent fate of our war veterans, his insights and observations into military minds and history should not be lost to the world.
