Water cremation, also known as alkaline hydrolysis or aquamation, is a modern, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cremation. Instead of using fire, this process uses a gentle water-based solution to return the body to its natural elements.
Water cremation mimics the natural decomposition process but accelerates it using a combination of water, heat, and alkali.
