CT DEEP Program: Plants
Presented in partnership with the Education and Outreach Division of Connecticut State Parks, this special series brings naturalist-led environmental and science programs directly to the community. Designed for children entering kindergarten through 5th grade, each session offers a fun and educational way to connect with the natural world.
Each program runs approximately one hour and is led by experienced naturalists who make science hands-on, interactive, and exciting for young learners.
This week’s theme is plants!
This plant program provides guests with the opportunity for hands-on learning about native plants of Connecticut with our roving naturalists. This program includes a “Plant Bingo” activity, where guests will get to look for real examples of native plants outside, as well as an observation activity where they can take a closer look at the structure and function of various plants.
Space is limited. Registration required.
