About The First Ladies:
The First Ladies is about the extraordinary partnership between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights activist Mary McLeod Bethune—an unlikely friendship that changed the world. This is the story of two different, yet equally formidable, passionate, and committed women, and the way in which their singular friendship helped form the foundation for the modern civil rights movement.
VICTORIA CHRISTOPHER MURRAY trailblazed the literary scene penning more than 30 novels and co-writing others, and was dubbed a Christian Fiction writer because no one else was writing novels filled with drama but with God in the center. Her first novel, Temptation, was nominated for an NAACP Image Award in Outstanding Literature. Victoria has received numerous awards including the Phyllis Wheatley Trailblazer Award for being a pioneer in African American Fiction, African American Literary Award Show Best Christian Fiction and NAACP Image Award in Outstanding Literary Work. Several of her books have been made into Lifetime TV movies.
