Join The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens on Martin Luther King Day for a day on, not off! In partnership with the town of Washington, the park invites you to learn about ways you can volunteer with and support local nonprofit organizations to make a difference in our community.

On Monday, January 15 from 9 to 11 am, various organizations will have informational tables set up at The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens in addition to fun activities:

• Attend children’s story time and craft with Gunn Memorial Library at 10 am
• Write a letter to soldiers overseas
• ASAP! (After School Arts Program) will be present to talk about their mission
• Bring nonperishable food items to donate to the food collection hosted by the Washington Council of Congregations
• Habitat for Humanity will be present to talk about volunteer opportunities
