The parallel teachings of Jesus and the Buddha set a high bar for a humble human being. It’s not easy to love your enemy (Jesus); Nor to cherish all living beings (Buddha). Developing great love calls us to mindful intention and practice and is, at heart, the first ever teaching from both Jesus and Buddha. Join us for an online spirit-filled retreat day to help you make this teaching a living part of your daily prayer and practice. Our next part in a popular series will include new essential methods that can awaken your capacity for developing great love for self and others. This includes deepening our “Tonglen” meditation practice (Buddhist) and centering prayer/contemplation practices (Christian). Join Br. Mark to explore how the first ever sermon/dharma talk of both spiritual leaders can support us in the direction of beauty, depth and great love.

Participants do not have to take the first part in the series to take part in the second.
