American Mural Project: A Tribute to American Workers
This virtual event with actor Geoffrey Owens, journalist John Dankosky, and AMP founder Ellen Griesedieck on Wednesday, April 28, 8 to 9pm!
Geoffrey Owens is famous for his years as a television actor (The Cosby Show and The Haves and Have Nots)—and for making national news last year after being photographed working at Trader Joe’s. In AMP’s first-ever virtual event honoring workers, award-winning radio journalist John Dankosky explores the job-shaming that resulted from Geoffrey’s frontline job and the new show he created to spotlight the role and importance of work in our lives. Ellen Griesedieck joins the conversation to discuss AMP’s similar mission of celebrating the dignity of all types of work.
The one-hour streaming event also includes:
- A special performance by world-renowned singer Theresa Thomason
- Never-before-seen drone footage of the 120’ long x 48’ high mural
- Stories paying tribute to American workers
