Inside Savor Litchfield 2026, Our Most Delicious Day Yet
If you were at South Farms on September 13, you already know. And if you weren’t, consider this your invitation to make sure that changes next year.
The Lineup
Savor Litchfield returned to South Farms in Morris for an afternoon that felt like everything this county does best. Chef John Bourdeau of Sparrow in New Milford led the culinary lineup of 26 of the area’s top talents. Each one arrived with a signature bite. Together, they made the case for why Litchfield County’s food scene commands attention far beyond its borders.
Beyond The Bites
The tastes were the main event, but they weren’t the only one. Litchfield Distillery and South Farms poured craft cocktails throughout the afternoon. Jonah Weinstock and Friends provided the perfect backdrop of live jazz. A lineup of upscale pop-up shops gave guests something to discover between courses.
Savor Talks
This year brought a new addition to the program: our Savor Talks series. Jack Baker, co-founder of Litchfield Distillery, shared the history of the brand, followed by a special taste from their mixologist. Then Howard Rosenfeld, co-founder and board president of Farmer’s Table, spoke with board member and South Farms owner Ben Paletsky about Litchfield County’s agricultural landscape.
Giving Back
A portion of ticket sales benefited two organizations doing vital work in Northwest Connecticut. FISH NWCT has provided food, shelter, and hope to the region’s most vulnerable residents since 1972. Farmer’s Table supports local farmers while strengthening equitable food access for those who need it most.
“Litchfield County has a talented culinary community, and Savor Litchfield exists to celebrate that,” says Mary Beth Lawlor, Happening in the Hills publisher and editor-in-chief of Litchfield Magazine. “Watching the chefs connect with our community—and seeing guests light up with every bite—is exactly why we created this event.”
