The Cavaillon melon comes from the south of France and is prized for its intense floral melon flavor. Slightly drier than most melons, it delivers a more concentrated taste, which makes it especially well-suited for cocktails. Other melons simply don’t offer the same depth and intensity, which is why we chose this particular variety.
For us, melon, olive oil, and sage capture the warmth and brightness of summer — fields of sun-ripened melons growing alongside olive trees and fragrant sage. The result is aromatic, vibrant, and full of sunshine.
Karen Veillette created this refreshing summer cocktail as a delicious way to cool down in the heat. Melon is naturally hydrating and cooling, making every sip feel light, fresh, and revitalizing. She adds organic Rime vodka from Connecticut, which blends well with the melon’s floral sweetness and a hint of green freshness from the sage, and is topped with fruity olive oil, which helps the melon flavor linger on your palate. communitytablect.com
