The Spirit Of Christmas Past: Four Centuries of Christmas in New England

Please join the Gunn Museum and guest lecturer Ken Turino of Historic New England for a free virtual presentation this holiday season. “The Spirit of Christmas Past: Four Centuries of Christmas in New England” traces the development of Christmas celebrations from the time they were outlawed in 17th-century New England through the beginning of the 21st century when all the trappings of a traditional Christmas were in place. Some Washington, CT Christmas traditions and stories will be highlighted in this presentation.
