The Quality of Light with Patty Fogle

The Quality of Light with Patty Fogle

The primary force that pulls a viewer into a fine artwork is the Quality of Light. By mastering the essential color contrasts of Light & Dark, Cool & Warm, Saturated & Neutral tones from the 3 families of color, you’ll focus on the main subject of your painting: Light as it illuminates your objects.
The answers are all found in your Paintbox, not nature. It’s a simplified straightforward visual “language” of fitting brushstrokes together in a logical sequence with powerful results.  From your own Still Life compositions designed through preliminary charcoal drawings & color studies, you’ll create a series of fully-formed paintings based on sound classical principles.
