Refugee Resettlement Conversation

At 3:00 pm on October 23rd, the Washington Refugee Resettlement Project (WRRP) invites all interested persons to a community-wide conversation about helping to resettle a refugee family in New Milford. The Project team will explain various levels of volunteer opportunities. A representative of Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS) will explain IRIS’ role in refugee resettlement in Connecticut. If you are unable to attend but are interested in volunteering, please email [email protected].
Refugee community sponsorship allows us to welcome and integrate newcomers to our beautiful corner of the state while also creating bonds among neighbors as we unite around a common cause. The Washington Council of Congregations (WCOC) will host this event.
