Join Hotchkiss Library of Sharon, children’s book author, Caroline Nastro, and illustrator, Anca Sandu for this two-part Zoom series, where you’ll learn how to create your own picture book. In the first session on Monday, April 12th from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, we’ll talk about story, characters, and what makes a great picture book. We’ll do some sketching and brainstorming, and then you’ll go home and write your own picture book!

In the second Zoom session on Friday, April 16th from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, we’ll discuss our first “drafts” together and think about more possibilities for our stories. We’ll talk about character development, plot, and the “story arc.” Then we’ll revise and sketch and write and sketch some more, just like children’s book authors and illustrators!
