Home-Scale Composting Class with Shamu Sadeh

The David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village will host the Zoom event, Home-Scale Composting Class with Shamu Sadeh on Thursday, April 8 at 7PM. Learn all the ins and outs of composting your kitchen scraps and garden weeds in your backyard into fertilizer that keeps all the nutrients in your food cycle. Attendees can register at HuntLibrary.org, on the Library’s Facebook page, or by calling the library at 860-824-7424.

Shamu Sadeh learned composting from his father helping in the garden as a kid and has composted ever since. A professor of environmental studies and a published author on Jewish ethics and environmentalism, Shamu grows food at Adamah Farm and teaches about it as Managing Director of Education at Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center in Falls Village, Connecticut.
