Barry Meier Book Signing 2.1 series at Hotchkiss Library of Sharon

An inside look at the high-stakes world of private intelligence will be on display, as Barry Meier is interviewed by Brian Ross, on Thursday, June 3, at 7 PM on the lawn at the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon, 10 Upper Main Street in Sharon. This first, live-author appearance in over a year will feature an eye-opening talk with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Meier, whose investigation of private spying is detailed in Spooked: The Trump Dossier, Black Cube and the Rise of Private Spies.

Hotchkiss Library Trustee and investigative journalist Brian Ross will interview Meier about the shadowlands of private spying companies, the efforts of the media and government to understand this new billion-dollar business, and its impact on our everyday lives. Meier is a former New York Times reporter who has won the George Polk Award for Investigative Reporting twice. His earlier work, Pain Killer, chronicled Purdue Pharma, its owners, the Sackler Family, and its best-known product, OxyContin.

Signed copies of Spooked will be available for purchase from the Library.

Attendance at the Book Signing 2.1 events are free but require registration on the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon website: hotchkisslibraryofsharon.org/event/spooked.
