Art For Earth
WEC’s Art For Earth is an innovative and fun event to support local artists as well as local students who are making a difference for the environment. This fundraiser is a “virtual art auction” that replaces WEC’s in-person Moon Dance which had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. Since most of the world is working from a virtual platform, it makes sense for WEC to do the same while creating a safe option that champions our dedication to the environment and our community.
ART FOR EARTH is a two-part event. Part one will be at the Judy Black Park and Gardens where, for five days, visitors can browse the various artworks with social distancing guidelines in place. Each art piece (along with details and links to artist’s websites) will also be available online. Part two is a 36-hour virtual bidding auction, and winners will be announced Monday, November 23.
