Alice Sedgwick Wohl Book Talk

Cornwall Library is excited to announce their next book talk, A Special Evening with Alice Sedgwick Wohl: Author of As It Turns Out: Thinking About Edie and Andy. This will take place at The Cornwall Library on October 15th, from 6pm-7pm.

Alice Sedgwick Wohl (Edie Sedgwick’s older sister) will be introduced and in conversation with Robert Becker (Arts Editor for Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine in the 1980s). A book signing will follow the event.

Wohl tells Edie’s story, as only a sister could, from their fractured childhood on a California ranch to Edie’s life and relationship with Warhol in the late 1960’s when she became his muse and superstar at The Factory, Warhol’s studio and meeting place for artists, musicians, and admirers. Wohl writes with empathy and insight, exploring why Edie drew attention wherever she went, fascinated Warhol, and captured the imagination of the period.
